All About Laser Therapy Safety and Effectiveness
Safety and Effectiveness

Laser therapy has an excellent safety record with over 20 years of history of clinical use in Europe. Laser therapy has proven to be completely painless and free of any side effects.

Effectiveness of Laser Therapy depends the quality of laser itself and expertise of the therapist.  At Medical Frontiers we use super pulse lasers that are the most advanced in the world. These lasers deliver high-density laser beam with the peak power up to 250 Watts! The peak power and the light density are the two most important parameters responsible for effectiveness of treatment.

Despite the high peak power of the laser beam, the average power is low and no thermal effect can occur.

Some people may be concerned that laser may cause cancer - there is no such a possibility.  Cancer may occur after exposure to high-energy radiation, another words, radiation carrying photons of high energy (ultraviolet or X-ray). Laser therapy uses red or infrared spectrum, which carries photons of very low energy. These wavelengths are completely safe.

I would like to say a word of caution here: in recent years a number of small companies have emerged selling poor quality lasers to unaware health practitioners (mostly chiropractors). These lasers often have insufficient power to have significant therapeutic effect. On the other hand, some of them have high average power and may dangerously overheat the tissue.
Do not compromise your treatment by inferior lasers.
